Stephanie Bowman is the Founder, Visionary and CEO of One Heart for Women and Children in Orlando, Florida. She’s been fondly dubbed as “The Modern Day Wonder Woman”. One Heart provides hunger relief, education and community resources for the homeless and underserved in Orlando and surrounding areas.
Stephanie has recently been featured in People Magazine, Time Magazine and the Kelly Clarkson Show where she was celebrated for being presented with the ‘Kindness Award’ by People Magazine. Godiva Chocolates also awarded her the prestigious Godiva Lady Award celebrating women doing great things.
Stephanie’s life is a powerful testimony of overcoming the deepest adversities and by faith, then weaponizing what was meant to destroy her throughout her life and turning it into powerful victories. Stephanie is a multiple-time cancer survivor and 25 years in recovery from drugs and alcohol. Her life took a downhill turn from the age of 15 years old after one traumatic incident into a series of other traumas into adulthood, not just limited to being homeless, having her young children scavenge for food in dumpsters, a former addict into present day, a multiple award -winning servant-leader who serves her community and different countries in humanitarian aid, centered in compassion and empowerment. Stephanie’s message of “Turning Passion into Purpose, through her experience, strength and hope” combines a story of wisdom acquired through growth and trials, and a message of hope and inspiration for those who find themselves in unpredictable circumstances.
For the past 15 years, One Heart for Women and Children continues to provide hunger relief, education and community resources for the homeless and underserved in Orlando and surrounding areas. Weare multi-dimensional when it comes to what we are able to do from meal provisions throughout the year to the homeless and economically challenged families, a monthly food distribution program, a thrift store, and a resource center. Currently, they server over 20,000 people monthly and have provided enough food for over 6,000,000 meals to date.
