Do you have law enforcement or first responder experience? Would you like an opportunity to serve God’s people by helping to keep watch over the flock?  Safety and security of the church is an important and needed role on Sundays and during special events.

Better known simply as “the Wednesday crew”, this group of people have a heart to keep our facility in tip top shape. Breakfast and hot coffee is always served for those who join us Wednesday mornings.

This is a campus level serve opportunity where volunteers and staff come together the 3rd Saturday of every month for the goal of beautifying our facility. If you enjoy landscaping or have a knack for painting or minor repair, come alongside us.

Cayson Gregory is the Ministry Operations Coordinator at Journey Christian Church. Originally from Concord, NC, Cayson first connected with Journey through a Student Ministry Internship in 2022 before joining the Residency Program in May 2023 as an Executive Ministry Resident. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Leadership and Church Ministries from Liberty University and is completing an MBA from Western Governors University. Cayson is passionate about helping people know God and discover their spiritual gifts to serve the Kingdom of God.

Doug is our Facilities Director and is a big part of keeping Journey beautiful. He says “I have served as a volunteer with facilities maintenance team, iSERVE, and as an elder. When I announced to the elders and Lead Pastor I was going to retire from my former employer, largely due to the timing, it became obvious God opened my schedule and called me to this new role.”
