Do you have law enforcement or first responder experience? Would you like an opportunity to serve God’s people by helping to keep watch over the flock?  Safety and security of the church is an important and needed role on Sundays and during special events.

Better known simply as “the Wednesday crew”, this group of people have a heart to keep our facility in tip top shape. Breakfast and hot coffee is always served for those who join us Wednesday mornings.

This is a campus level serve opportunity where volunteers and staff come together the 3rd Saturday of every month for the goal of beautifying our facility. If you enjoy landscaping or have a knack for painting or minor repair, come alongside us.

JD, or, the man of many hats has been at Journey since April of 2018. He started as our I.T. Director and became the Director of Operations in 2022. JD is married with two sons, and his not-so-hidden talent is bad puns. JD says, “The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given for work is “Learn Everything” by a teacher in college. The best piece of spiritual advice was given by my Dad when we were “discussing” tithing...‘God doesn’t want your money son, He wants your obedience.'”

Doug is our Facilities Director and is a big part of keeping Journey beautiful. He says “I have served as a volunteer with facilities maintenance team, iSERVE, and as an elder. When I announced to the elders and Lead Pastor I was going to retire from my former employer, largely due to the timing, it became obvious God opened my schedule and called me to this new role.”
