“I am the Journey Kids Coordinator at our Lake County campus. Which means I work behind the scenes to make sure your kiddos Sunday morning worship experience is the best part of their week!”
From “smack dab in the middle of the USA. Kansas,” Kelsey started working for Journey as the temporary JK LC Coordinator which began in October of 2019. “But I soon saw God’s plan was to have me here so I took on the part time position and haven’t looked back ever sense. How I started working for Journey is a fun story actually. My husband Andy our two girls and I moved to FL in August of 2019. Our first weekend in FL, we were going to attend a different church that we found online, but a friend invited us here at Journey’s LC campus because his daughter was being baptized that weekend — the cool part was it was Lake County’s opening day for their new campus! From the start loved the culture of Journey. Andy and I quickly started volunteering in the kids ministry, and in October when they needed the temporary position filled I couldn’t help but feel the tug from the Lord that I am wanted to fill the position. The rest is history!”
“What I love most about being on the team at Journey, is that our leadership truly cares about the health of our souls and leading out of the overflow of our heart. I also love getting to be a part of making a fun, safe space where families can come together on Sunday mornings to worship our great King. It takes a team to make Sundays work, I am thankful for the one I have! Shout out to JK LC Team!!
“I am married to my best friend Andy DeNoon. We have two beautiful silly girls, Demi Ann who is 5 and Zola McKinley who is 2 1/2. The best advice I have ever been given is, ‘If you cannot change something, change the way you think about it.’ Our circumstances may not change but our perspective can. When we look at our circumstances through an eternal lens we will have a more positive outcome.”
