Operation Restart 2.0
We are in the final days of prepping for the resuming of onsite worship gatherings at Journey Christian Church campuses. The staff has been working extra hard to be as ready as we can to welcome those who will be coming to either our Apopka or Lake County campus. It’s been such a long time since I preached in front of a live audience, I hope I can remember how to do it! Regardless of how it goes, I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to do it again.
What’s the most important thing you need to know right now about our Restart 2.0?
-The Sunday worship schedule for all campuses is as follows:
Lake County: 9:30AM only
Apopka: 9:30 & 11:15AM
Online: 9:30 & 11:15AM & 5PM
-Get your tickets. All seating at both campuses will be done through a no-cost ticketing system. It really is very easy to use and very helpful for us as we plan to create the safest and best environment possible for people to gather in larger groups.
Check out this video below of Pastor Jeremy Tomlinson demonstrating the ticketing process.
-Children’s ministry will be operating at both campuses. Our Family Ministry team has done a great job of putting in place a system that will provide a clean, safe, and fun environment for children ages 1 year old-through 5th grade. Check out these videos below of Pastor Christian Wilson as he walks parents through the check-in/check-out process.
-We’re excited to announce that new ionization air purification equipment already has or will soon be added to both physical campuses. This air purifying equipment is the latest and most effective technology in producing the safest air for indoor environments available on the market. This is the same equipment used by major hospitals to purify their air. The ionizer equipment has already been installed in the Children’s area and the Atrium at the Apopka campus. In the coming days, the equipment will be installed in the Student Center and the Worship Center at Apopka and in all areas of the Lake County building.
-A new message series starts this Sunday titled Soul Care. Belief in the soul is deeply embedded in the human psyche. Even though we struggle to define it, most of us believe we have one and that it’s something precious, and we dare not lose it. But what exactly is it? Join us onsite or online as we begin this helpful and encouraging teaching series on taking care of the most important part of you.
This Sunday we begin a new ministry era at Journey Christian Church. I wouldn’t call it the new normal, because nobody knows what that will be like yet, but it is the next normal. This is the bridge season to whatever comes next for churches in a post-pandemic world. It’s a journey none of us have ever taken before. Let’s do it together starting this Sunday.
Loving the Journey,
