Next Steps Into A New Normal
September 12, 2021
Sometimes instead of learning new ideas we need to be reminded of old truths.
How beautiful are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns! (Isaiah 52:7 NLT)
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:15)
Are your feet beautiful?
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)
You are followers of Jesus; go make more followers of Jesus.
-A Lack of Opportunity.
When Jesus said, “Go…” hear him saying, “As you are going.”
Who would I share the good news of Jesus with?
-A Lack of Knowledge.
If you knew enough to decide to follow Jesus, then you know enough to invite someone else to follow Him.
“Will you give me a drink?” (John 4:7)
“Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” “I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” (John 4:15-18)
-A Lack of Urgency.
Your sense of urgency in regards to sharing Jesus will be in direct proportion to the way you view people.
“I tell you there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (John 15:10)
