The G.O.A.T.

Jesus is the G.O.A.T. of Power

As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). (Mark 4:35-36 NLT)

But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. (Mark 4:37 NLT)

Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are going to drown?” (Mark 4:38 NLT)

When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (Mark 4:39-40 NLT)

Will you allow your fear to drown out your faith? OR Will you allow your faith to drown out your fear?

The disciples were absolutely terrified… (Mark 4:41 NLT)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom… (Proverbs 9:10 NLT)

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.       (James 2:19 NIV)

When you fear God there is nothing else and no one else to fear.

“Who is this man? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” (Mark 4:41 NIV)

They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” (Matthew 21:7-10 NIV)

… “Who do the crowds say I am?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” (Luke 9:18-20 NIV)

“Who do people say that I am?”

“Who do you say I am?”
