Pastor John

In a just a little over 24 hours, it will be time for Christmas Eve at Journey 2021 to begin. We will have three in-person gatherings at our Apopka campus starting at 3, 4:30 and 6PM. We will have two onsite gatherings at our Lake County campus starting at 4:30 and 6PM. For those planning to join us online, you can watch during any of the three service times listed above for our Apopka location.

Preschool (birth through age 4) ministry rooms will be open for all services at both locations for Christmas Eve. School-aged children and students can sit with their parents through the approximately 55-minute, family-inclusive service.

The service will feature a lot of favorite Christmas songs, some engaging videos, and the final featured song in our Christmas Soundtracks series. Hint: it is the most streamed holiday song of all time and the song in second place is not even close!

The service will conclude with the traditional candle lighting and Silent Night. That’s always my favorite part of Christmas Eve services.

It’s not too late to invite someone to join you at one of these special services. Christmas celebrations are always better when we include others, and we are praying and preparing to greet many first-time guests tomorrow.

Online Only on December 26

Just a reminder that this Sunday, December 26, our worship service will be online only. Pastor Dustin joins me for a Year End Celebration as we look back on the many victories and challenges that God led us through in 2021. Join us online at 9:30 or 11:15AM this Sunday.

In-Person Gatherings Resume January 2

As we kick-off 2022, all in-person Sunday gatherings at both our Apopka and Lake County campuses will resume on January 2 at our regularly scheduled times of 9:30 and 11:15AM. Online services will be available as well. We will be starting a new daily teaching series on New Year’s Day, January 1, called Daily Wisdom based on the biblical book of Proverbs. Join us at YouTube.com/journeychristian each day in January as one of our Pastors or Residents guides you through the practical and powerful life-changing principles of Proverbs.

Year End Giving Done By December 31

You still have a little over a week to make any final offerings to Journey for 2021. All gifts delivered electronically must be dated on or before December 31 and all gifts mailed into the office must be postmarked no later than December 31 to count towards 2021 giving. If you would like to give a special year-end gift to our Missions 2022 initiative, please specify Missions 2022 on your check or select the Missions 2022 option at www.journeychristian.com/give.

Finally, Melinda and I wish you the merriest Christmas and a hope-filled New Year!

Loving the Christmas Journey!
