“Keystone habits are small changes or habits that people introduce into their routines that unintentionally carry over into other aspects of their lives.”—Charles Duhigg
Outreach is the church reaching OUT and bringing its TIME, TALENT, and TREASURE into the community. It is basically our faith in action, meeting the needs of the community.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”. (Matthew 22:37-40)
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw Him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”. (Matthew 28:16-20)
God reaches us, so that in turn, we may reach out to others.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.. (James 1:27)
The world should be impacted and influenced by the church and not the other way around.
The “Would she weep?” value is expressed by a continual passion to be engaged in the life of the church & the community. We want to love and serve our communities so well that she would mourn if we were gone.
