5 Common catalysts that seem to be part of every growth spurt in a follower of Jesus:
-In your life, who do you have a relationship with that God has possibly used to cause you to have an interest in faith, or to re-examine faith, or to give faith a chance, or to give God a chance?
-God uses human relationships to impact our faith in Him.
-Looking back, has there been anyone in your life that undermined your faith in God?
-Relationships intersect with our faith for good or for bad.
-There really aren’t any neutral relationships.
-How can I leverage current relationships for the sake of building my faith?
1. Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. (Proverbs 13:20)
The people you choose to surround yourself with have the potential to impact your spirituality.
2. Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” (1 Corinthians 15:33)
Human relationships can have a negative spiritual impact.
-We need to create relational environments. We can create the potential for a providential relationship.
-God uses human relationships to grow our faith in him.
-Are we willing to be available to God to be that person in someone else’s life?
-Providential relationships often start with awkward conversations.
