Life is full of seasons of challenges and struggles. Many of these issues are so large and overwhelming we will not navigate them well by ourselves. We need the love and care of others.
Support groups are designed to provide guidance, comfort and care in Christ-centered environments.
Our Support Groups include:
- Journey to Recovery – Discover hope for addictions, codependency, and other hurtful effects of dysfunctional living through a biblically-based recovery program. Meets on Fridays at 7PM in the Student Center. For more information contact Pastor Anita Burns at email@example.com.
- Grief Support Group – offers comfort and understanding in a safe, confidential environment. The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7PM in the Infant Retreat Room in the main church building. Contact Dana Duffie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 407-620-4122 for more information.
- GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. We meed on Monday nights at 6:30PM in the Meeting Place from February 9 through May 23. For more information, please contact Elaine Harland-Colter at email@example.com.
- Stephen Ministry – is a one-to-one mentoring ministry to help those experiencing a life crisis. For more information, contact Pastor Anita Burns at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Jesus was sent to “heal the brokenhearted” and “to comfort all who mourn.” Jesus, the Great Physician, wants to give us hope, comfort, and healing when we hurt.
In following Christ, Journey strives to provide help to those hurting so they can find healing and hope. We accomplish these goals through multiple ministries, including pastoral counseling, support groups, and prayer. We also refer to professional counselors when needed.
